Nepal Clearing House Ltd. (NCHL) currently operates national payment systems namely Electronic Cheque Clearing (NCHL-ECC), Interbank Payment System (NCHL-IPS) and connect IPS e-Payment System with participation of almost all the banks & financial institutions and other institutions. The payment infrastructure of NCHL handled over 16.7 million transactions equivalent to over NRs 9.2 trillion in transaction amount in the last fiscal year. NCHL is expanding its team to drive its existing and upcoming payment systems. Hence, it invites qualified and competent Nepali national for the following full-time positions.
1. Position: Chief Product & Innovation Officer
> Number of Vacancies: 1
This is a senior position role to drive, develop and extend NCHL’s product lines. He/ She shall be involved in the development of the products/ services, setting up of the business processes for service integrations and researches on innovative ideas. He/ She shall manage the teams of software development, innovation and special project implementations with cross functional coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Job Specification
> University degree in Computer Science/ Engineering/ IT or relevant field. MBA or equivalent preferred
> At least 10 years of relevant experience with not less than 5 years of experience in development and supporting critical payment and/or financial and/or banking applications. Exposure in product development preferred
> Ability to learn, understand and apply new technologies independently and in a team-oriented collaborative environment with ability to translate such technology into products/services
> Sound knowledge in Web Services, XML, Message Queue, FTP, financial messaging like ISO8583, ISO20022, etc
> Experience in developing and managing web and mobile applications using at least one of the web frameworks (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC)
> Excellent knowledge of RDBMS, SQL and ORM technologies in Windows and Unix/Linux based platforms
> Ability to effectively prioritize and execute projects in high-pressure environment with strong interpersonal and communication skills
2. Position: Analyst – S/w Development QA
> Number of Vacancies: 1
This is an entry level role to develop and implement test plans for testing of various business applications, integrations and products/ features to ensure quality assurance of NCHL’s in-house and other systems. He/ She shall be responsible for manual and/or automated testing through various testing tools with engagements for assisting business & system requirements gathering and deployments by interacting with developers/ vendors and end users.
Job Specification
> At least University degree in Engineering/ Science/ IT or related field
> At least 2 years of experience in software testing/ QA, application implementations with good knowledge of web/ mobile applications, relational databases and operating systems
> Exposure in manual and automated testing of front end, bank end and interfaces of banking/financial/payment systems preferred, with sound knowledge on Web Services, XML, Message Queue, FTP, financial messaging and encryption technology
> Ability to learn, understand and apply new technologies
> Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environment with strong interpersonal and communication skills
3. Position: Support Executive
> Number of Vacancies: 4
This is an entry level role to provide technical and operational support to the end users of the systems operated by NCHL. He/ She shall also monitor and perform day to day activities in operating the systems.
Job Specification
> At least University degree in IT/IS/IM, Engineering, Science or related field
> At least 1 year of experience in supporting customers/ users of critical financial systems
> Outstanding fresh graduate with hands-on knowledge of web/ mobile applications, computer languages, databases, Linux/ Windows OS, network technologies can also apply
> Understanding of Web Services, XML, Message Queue, FTP, financial messaging
> Ability to learn, understand and apply new technologies
> Strong interpersonal and communication skills
